To be noted here that most of the world’s billionaires attribute their fortune to technology so we can say that technology is by far the most popular vehicle of extreme wealth and fortune. Becoming rich is not a great deal here in the Billionaires list but the main focus of these people is to keep their fortune increasing so as to keep their desired ranking on the Wealthiest people charts. The United States has the most billionaires in the world with 492 representatives, followed by China with 152 and Russia with 111. Forbes also mentioned that the global wealth team uncovered over 1600 billionaires with a total net worth of $6.4 trillion. The list mentions Most Richest People in the world which are individuals and not large multi national companies which share large fortunes. Jim Walton is the founder and owner of Walmart Stores located in US and are the World’s most popular shopping centers. Shopping records breakup on Black Friday at Walmart when companies put up huge discounts to boost their sales. Jim Walton has a current wealth of $34.7 billion which ranks him 10th on the Richest People in the World whereas he ranked on the 7th spot in the wealthiest people in America according to Forbes.Not only Walmart but Jim Walton is also the CEO of his family owned Bank named Arvest Bank. He is currently included in the Board of Directors replacing his elder brother in 2005.
9. Christy Walton
Christy Walton is the only female billionaire on our list with a total net worth of $36.7 billion which is about $2 billion more than her brother in law. Christy Walton is the widow of John Walton and after his death in June 2005 she inherited his fortune of $18.2 billion which skyrocketed her wealth and she has been ranked on 9th spot in richest people in the world whereas 6th wealthiest people in US. Though the bulk of her money comes from the shares in Walmart where her husband invested. She also supports her family’s own charity foundation known as Walton family Charitable Support Foundation which funds education for children.
8. Sheldon Adelson
Sheldon Adelson has a total net worth of $38 billion placing him on the 8th spot of the most richest people in the world – 2014. He is the chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corporation which is a very renowned casino. Not only he runs a successful casino business but he also owns the Israeli daily newspaper Israel HaYom. Though he is a controversial figure involved in different scandals but he is also recognized in charity and support to people via Adelson Foundation. The foundation has contributed about $140 Million to finance Jews trips to Israel.

David Koch is the American businessman who co-owns the Koch Industries with his brother Charles Koch and with a total net wealth of $40 billion he stands on the 6th spot of the richest people in the world. Koch Industries are the 2nd largest privately held company in United States. Koch is considered to be a businessman, political activist, philanthropist and an engineer. Known for his love of arts he regularly contributes money to organizations like Lincoln Center and American Museum. He has used his political powers to donate funds to artistic groups and ran campaigns to promote it.

Charles is not only the brother of David Koch but also his business partner. Surprisingly Charles also has the total wealth of $40 billion exactly sames as of his brother. Although he is the official CEO of Koch Industries, remember David Koch is the Vice President of this great company. Long known as one of the world’s wealthiest person Buffet is best known for his impressive investing techniques in the century. Warren Buffet is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway and is the largest shareholder of the company too. Not only he is one of the richest person but he is also one of the most influential person in the company he maintains stakes in. He is also philanthropist and has pledged to give away 99% of his wealth to “The Giving Pledge” campaign.

Bill Gates reclaimed his title as the World’s Richest Man in March 2014 after being on the 2nd spot for three long years. But now he again lost his top ranked position to be the wealthiest people and is now the 2nd richest person in the World and 1st in US. Bill Gates is an American investor, programmer, inventor and philanthropist and of course recognized most popularly as the former CEO and chairman of Microsoft. Bill Gates has a total net worth of $81.4 billion which is about $3 billion less than Carlos Slim Helu. Though Gates is known for his technological powers at Microsoft. He has been contributing a lot to charity organization and also founded Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with his wife. Although he stepped down as CEO of Microsoft in 2000 its safe to say he is a big tycoon in the business industry.

Carlos Slim Helu missed his first place as the world’s wealthiest people ranking in march 2014 to Bill Gates but now again he stands on top with a total wealth of $84 Billion. He held his Top title to be the richest person from 2010 to 2013 but surrendered this year and now gained his ranking back too. The Mexican business magnate and philanthropist has his share in a number of Mexican Companies like Grupo Carso, SA de CV and is also chairman of Telecommunication companies America Movil and Telmex. The billionaire established Fundacion Telmex to prove his philanthropic efforts and contributed a lot to his organization and a number of other charity organizations too. Forbes also listed Carlos Slim Helu to be the World’s Biggest Givers.
